THE STAR WE CALL SUN

There is a star in the Milky Way Galaxy that is, astronomically, a typical star. However, to inhabitants of the earth this glowing ball of gas is so much more. This star is the one we call sun. It is the one particular star that the earth and other planets rotate around. The sun is a major support to the earth, the only planet known to sustain human life. It generates the essential heat and light the earth needs to permit the development of humans, plants, animals, and microorganisms. The energy produced by this awesome star is used not only by plants through photosythesis, but by hydroelectric power plants to generate electricity, and many other ways.
