Moorea is a beautiful, unspoiled, lush island. It does not have the extensive lagoons of Huihine, Taha'a, or Bora Bora... because it is geographically younger. The ship anchors in a wonderful bay on the north side of the island... with a great view from our Starboard cabin. We took the tender ashore.. and then a took a cab west a couple of miles (about a mile past the Intercontenental). There we found the nicest white sand beach we have seen on a mainland island. The water was very nice. We watched a lot of kite surfing... and I snorkled off shore to visit the local marine fish and other criticals.. and yes, like every where else, there were sharks.. but no problem. I left my UW camera on the ship. This was our last stop before returning to Tahiti and I promised Sara to relax more on Moorea. We can always return.
