CVC’s WIDE AREA NETWORK (WAN) LAYOUT

 

 

 

CVC WAN SERVERS

We have 25 servers on the CVC campus and some addition computers that run small services for specialized tasks.

 

1.  http://ftp.cvc.org  (66.17.34.14) – FTP server for transferring files between school and off-campus. Anonymous login for file distributions. (loc: workroom)

 

2. http://www.cvc.org  (66.17.34.8) – Main webserver , highest tweaked for most visited sites.  (loc: workroom)

 

3. http://home.cvc.org (66.17.34.3) – web server for teacher use, academic info, etc. (loc: workroom)

 

4. http://sports.cvc.org (66.17.34.5) – sports webserver and video server for sports webcasts. (loc: workroom)

 

5. http://www.drennon.org/updates (66.17.34.4) -- computer help and updates web server (loc: workroom)

 

6. http://webctrl.cvc.org (66.17.34.10) – webserver controlling campus lighting, heating, and cooling in newest buildings. (2nd floor electrical room Library Building)

 

7. https://66.17.34.9 (66.17.34.9) – master control computer for coordinating analog heating/cooling with digital controls. Main control for programming webctrl.cvc.org. (2nd floor electrical room Library Building)

 

8. mail.cvc.org  (66.17.34.11) – POP3 and SMTP server for internet email in cvc.org domain. (loc: workroom)

 

9. 66.17.34.1 – main router and firewall for east campus internet access. (loc: workroom)

 

10. 66.17.34.15 – main router and firewall for west campus internet access. (loc: workroom)

 

11. “server” (10.10.10.50) – Hunter School Minder server, usually mapped to X drive. (loc: workroom)

 

12. mailserver (10.10.10.13) – LAN email server via Microsoft mail. (loc: workroom)

 

13. Athena (10.10.10.253) – Library server, usually mapped to L drive. (loc: cvchs library, backroom 1st floor)

 

14. Arserver (10.10.10.6) – Accelerated Reader Program server, usually mapped to R drive. (loc: K-4 teacher workroom)

 

15. Msgq (10.10.10.19) – Middle School GradeQuick Server for grades 5-8, usually mapped to Q drive. (loc: cvcms teacher workroom)

 

16. Hsgq (10.10.10.18) – High School GradeQuick Server for grades 5-8, usually mapped to Q drive. (loc: workroom)

 

17. hsserver (10.10.10.169) – High school backup FTP server. (loc: workroom)

 

18. msserver (10.10.10.167) – High school backup FTP server. (loc: cvcms teacher workroom)

24. Routers for labs (192.168.1.1) – Routers separtating lab LANs from main LAN(loc: electrical control room in office/science bldg)

 

25. Practice server for Adv Comp (varies) – practice server for advanced computing students ((loc: workroom)

 

There are also print servers built into all of our copymachines.

 

Printers

Please use the black and white printers for most of your copying needs, as they are much, much cheaper than the color copies. The color printers are there for your use, so please use them, just use them wisely and with cost/benefit in mind.

 

Preschool Your default printer is the Canon copymachine located in the preschool building. You can also print color on the K-4 Color Laser located in the K-4 workroom.

 

K-4 campus. Your default printer is the escopymachine (Canon iR600). You can also print color copies on the K-4 LASER PRINTER. The Canon printer/copymachine is located in the main elementary office area. The color LASER is located in the K-4 workroom.

 

MS campus. Your default printer is the mscopymacnine (Canon iR600) located in the MS front office area. You can print color to the MS COLOR LASER, located in the MS office. At the beginning of the school year, the copymachine may not be connected due to construction. If not, it will be on line soon.

 

HS campus. Your default printer is the hscopymachine (Canon iR5000) located in the high school admin building behind the front entrance. Color copies can be made on the Canon iR C3200-C1 digital printer/copier, located in the workroom of the admin/science building.

 

Other printers. Laser printers exist in all of the computer labs, libraries, and special areas, such as resource, guidance areas, special offices, off-the-beaten-path locations, on the 2nd floor of the library building, etc.
